The Five-Nines of Uptime: IP Reliability for Broadcast through prioritization and carrier diversity

Synopsis:
Internet connectivity is now part of the broadcast chain. Like everything else in our connected world, buzzwords abound and ideas vary on the “right” way to integrate modern technology with good ol’ fashioned broadcast engineering know-how. Cut through the noise and get down to the heart of the matter to achieve maximum uptime by picking the right connections at studios, transmitter sites, remote broadcasts, and anywhere you need to get a signal to or from.
Presenter:

Adam Robinson is a 30-year broadcast veteran whose career spans engineering, operations, product development, and a decade on air in a major market as a news director and program host. Known for his ability to bridge the gap between management and engineering, he has led dozens of studio builds, transmitter projects, and station launches. Adam has specialized in automation and AoIP integration throughout his career, including leadership roles in systems design and product development with DJB Software. Today he serves as Director of Sales, Marketing & Business Development at MaxxKonnect, helping broadcasters modernize their infrastructure with next-generation connectivity solutions and problem-solving equipment for radio and TV. An active member of the SBE Education Committee and longtime CCBE steering committee member, Adam still enjoys getting his hands dirty as chief engineer of a Toronto AM community station.
