CAB Technical Committee Update

CAB Technical Advisor, Kirk Nesbitt, will report on the activities of the Technical Coordinating Committee (TCC). This year’s update will include insights about what is happening with Emergency Alerting, Safety Code 6 compliance, Tower Siting Policy, Nextgen TV, HD Radio, and more. The TCC is actively involved in the regulatory work of Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED), the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC), the Radio Advisory Board of Canada (RABC), and the Alerting Technical Working Group (ATWG). As well, the TCC contributes to the standards development initiatives of the National Radio Systems Committee (NRSC) and the North American Broadcasters Association Radio Committee (NABA-RC).
