WABE invites exhibitors and sponsors to register!

Hello everyone!

Well, summer is here, COVID restrictions are lifting across the country and people are starting to ease back into what seemed like a normal lifestyle over 2 years ago. Here at WABE, we are doing the same and have been optimistically cautious as we have been planning for our 2022 convention. After many committee meetings and hotel/conference centre discussions, we are confident that we can safely hold our next event in person this year.

Shortly after Infocomm was held in Las Vegas this year, I took the opportunity to speak with quite a few people that attended, and I received lots of good feedback regarding conferences and their attendance and participation. Although the size of these conferences have been reduced slightly, the quality is better than ever. Many people attending are there with purpose and passion. We are intending to bring this same energy to our convention in October in Calgary, AB and are looking forward to seeing you there!

This 2-day convention will be held on Tuesday October 4th and Wednesday October 5th.  We felt that 2 days is good to get back into it and was also the most popular choice based on feedback from attendees and exhibitors.  This also gives you extra time in the week to visit with clients in Calgary or the short drive up to Edmonton later in the week. With a good combination of show floor hours and education papers over the 2 days, we promise to keep you busy and informed, and allow you to network with the attendees.   You can view our convention schedule on our website here: https://wabe.ca/convention/schedule/

Our initial plan was to have it at the same location as the last time we were in Calgary, however there were some issues with the hotel that put at risk our ability to have the convention and hotel at the same location. So, we have moved locations to the Best Western Premier Calgary Plaza Hotel and Conference Centre (or BWPCPHCC for short). This allows us to have the convention and hotel guest rooms in the same location without leaving the building so access to running into attendees on a regular basis makes it easier. I have personally visited the location and think it will be a great fit for our needs. It is a short 15-minute drive from the airport or downtown and a very welcoming facility.

Our exhibit hall is slightly smaller this year, so there is a limited number of exhibit booth spaces. So please register your booth ASAP if you are interested, as this will be the first convention of its kind to be in person in the last few years and we anticipate a good turn out.
