Registration Is Open!

Hello WABE friends!

It is my pleasure and honor, along with my executive and volunteer chairs, to formally invite you to WABE’s 71st annual (virtual) convention, taking place on Nov 3rd and 4th. These two days will be full of on-line papers, virtual exhibits and networking opportunities. Delegate registration is now open for the 2021 convention dates of Nov 3rd and 4th.

You can access our online registration system on our WABE website by clicking the link below. Make sure to register by Thursday, Oct 28th. (Any registrations received after that date cannot be guaranteed that you will receive your convention site login credentials on-time before the start of the convention.)

WABE Delegate Registration

Media technical professionals must always do more with less and often do not have time, resources or access to specialized training and updating in their field. Part of the attraction of WABE is the educational papers that inform and grow delegates knowledge on technology in an affordable, local, and personal convention. The intimate setting allows delegates the ability to access technical presentations and exhibitors, without having to fly a long distance or pay large convention fees. This year, the virtual convention delegate registration fee is $50. The WABE Exhibit floor is always filled with new and emerging media technologies that allow delegates to explore, learn and network with people who can help you keep your knowledge fresh, your company competitive and your department moving forward. Visit our website to view the convention and papers schedule, along with our list of exhibitors and sponsors.

We will also be having an awards presentation during the lunch break on Thursday, November 4th, so if you know of anyone that is deserving of an award, please email your nominations to: info@wabe.ca. The award categories include the Ambassador Award, Excellence in Engineering, WABE Spirit Award, the RW Lamb Award, and of course the Retirement Awards. To find out more about the criteria of these awards, visit out website.

We are encouraging you to reach out to your colleagues and suppliers and let them know about WABE. Your support this year is critical as our committee has a huge hurdle ahead to place us in a position to be able to get back to an in-person convention. Last year, we had the most delegates in a very long time and forged new relationships with like minded organizations such as SMPTE and welcomed our eastern family at CCBE who have been holding virtual lunch and learn sessions throughout the past year.

Get on-line and register, then reserve November 3rd and 4th on your calendar and come on out to WABE.

See you soon!
