The WABE/SAIT Training Sessions

The WABE/SAIT training sessions normally take place in the beginning of June on the campus of SAIT. This year the WABE convention takes place in Calgary November 6-8th, 2016 so the decision was made to merge the two events together.

New this year the Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) will be providing a course Networking Technology for Broadcast Engineers presented by Wayne Pecena, CPBE, 8-VSB, AMD, DRB, CBNE on Tuesday November 8th, 2016 9am – 5pm. The course is designed prepare the participant for SBE certification CBNE (Certified Broadcast Networking Engineer) exam. The exam will also be offered to those who preregister with SBE prior to the WABE convention. There will not be an opportunity to register at the course, it must be 2-3 weeks in advance. There will be other training courses offered on Tuesday for both TV and Radio for those who do not wish to take the SBE course. Training courses, for both Radio and TV, will be held on Sunday and Monday in the mornings as well as Tuesday afternoon. The Exhibit hall will be open Sunday and Monday in the afternoon as well as Tuesday morning. This will give attendees a chance to see products and to network with industry technology providers.
